About the Lodge
Nestled in the stunning Cairngorms National Park near Aviemore, Rothiemurchus Lodge has a rich heritage rooted in service, community and Highland adventure. Originally founded in the mid-20th century as a place for soldiers to rest and enjoy the breathtaking Highlands, the lodge has grown into a welcoming destination for groups of all kinds.
Today, the lodge offers year-round, affordable self-catering accommodation for regular and reserve members of the Armed Forces, veterans, MoD civilians and their families. It is also open to schools, youth organisations, charities, universities and outdoor groups seeking comfortable, budget-friendly lodging in one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes.
With capacity for over 100 guests across several spacious lodges, Rothiemurchus Lodge is the perfect base for exploring the Cairngorms, whether you’re planning skiing, mountain biking, hiking, water sports or simply enjoying Highland nature.
